Timpanogos Cave

Derek and I finally hiked up to Timp Cave! We have been talking about it forever, and just never got around to it. Well, it was on our bucketlist this summer, so maybe that gave us the little push we needed. Totally worth it! It was actually even cooler than I thought it would be. But the hike to it  was also much longer and strenuous than I imagined. I am kind of a baby though.

There happended to be a fire on the otherside of the canyon while we were hiking. They just let it burn, since it wasn't near anything damagable.

The Heart of the Cave
The stories about how the caves were founded were pretty interesting. Seriously makes me want to be a cave diving adventurer. It would just be so fun to explore all over in these caves that seem so never-ending. Derek and I want to go back and do this other tour that takes you back in a different part of the cave. It's about the length of a football feild and you have to crawl through most of it with headlamps. Super exciting!

Derek proceeded to tell me all about this little weather station contraption. He's so smart.... not nerdy at all!
