My absolute, new favorite thing!! I am officially addicted to this genius website. It's basically an online pin board where you can collect and share pictures and ideas from other websites. I still love hunting for awesome blogs but the fun thing about Pinterest is that it has such a variety of styles in one place. You may consider it slightly on the female gender side but if more boys got involved it wouldn't have to be like that... hint hint.
Here is the link....Pinterest

Some of my favorites....

Dear Kristen Wiig

Can we please share a closet??....  And be best friends?

I have recently become obsessed with Kristen Wiig's wardrobe, and well, just Kristen Wiig in general. Everything about her hits my funny bone. Of course it originated from the new (awesome) movie, Bridesmaids. Hilarious. But the whole time I was watching the movie, all I could think about was how cute all of her outfits were. Even her lounging around the house, bedtime clothes were super cute. Loving the patterned dresses paired with blazers, and comfy stripped tops with skinny jeans. Her simple gold necklace and skinny gold rings are perfect little details. Plus she always had red nails, which is the only color I love to wear if I ever get the chance to paint them. The best part about her style is that it is totally doable for poor little humans like myself.

Future Us

I came across this lost photo a few days ago. Derek and I had never seen it before and we had to rack our brains to remember when it was taken. We're pretty sure it was just a few weeks before we got married. The weird thing is that when I look at this picture, I see Derek and Kristen like five years from now. We just look so much older to me. It kind of freaked me out at first because I'm so not looking forward to the getting older thing, but then I realized that time really doesn't matter. We were so happy in love then, and are even more so now. Getting older won't change that.
We are coming up on our year anniversary this summer. It's really crazy how fast time flies. We will have been together for four years in November, and it still feels like new.

It's Alright Ma

One of my new goals in life is to focus on finding the unexpected treasure that comes out of a disappointing situation. I'm really starting to believe that it's all in the way you look at things, even though I personally am  terrible at "looking at the brightside". It actually makes me mad when people say that to me. I tend to get really upset when I have my heart set on something and it doesnt work out. But it's becoming clear to me that most of the time, you can enjoy the result no matter what. All you have to do is choose to enjoy it.
Snow in May would usually be considered a major disappointment, but because it was so late in the season, flowers had already bloomed. Snow on flowers is definitely one of those unexpected treasures in my book.
Last night, Derek and I watched a movie called "It's kind of a funny story". It was a good movie but the thing that stood out to me was the moral of the story. It really reminds you to appreciate what you have.

Finder Keepers

"Find of the month" goes to this adorable mauve colored, silk blouse.

My favorite thing to do in my spare time is go thrift store shopping. I love searching for that one perfect item that you would never find anywhere else, and then the best part is paying next to nothing for it. It's a much more rewarding experience than buying something a little pricy simply because you fell in love with it, and then having it ruined the next day when you see your best friend wearing the same thing.
This months find fits me so well and is so stinkin' cute. Plus I'm convinced it's homemade. There is no remnants of a tag and all the seams are very obvious, and slightly uneven. That just makes it all the more special.
I'm so excited to move to Salt Lake because there are so many more cute, vintage shops to discover there.
Gotta love the thrill of the hunt

Half Marathon # 1

As you can see, this is Derek's first half marathon. Not mine. My chosen title above is purposely misleading because in all honesty I wish that I was the cool one running these treacherous trails. Some people have it, some people don't. Being one of those in the latter category, I am grateful that Derek is not because I very much enjoy coming to these events and capturing the runners exhausted, yet satisfied faces.

The next "Got Milk" ad

Yeah, he even sprinted the last stretch after running his first 13 miles straight at a very respectable speed.

This race was held at Thanksgiving Point, my place of work. So he got to run through our beautiful Gardens and Golf Course which was partially covered in snow at the time. Derek was pretty angry about the ridiculous April weather but fortunately it didnt effect much of the trail.
Below is Derek's ranking in the race. He was 73 of 900 runners. Pretty impressive.
Hopefully this will be the first of many races to come.

Goodbye Provo

Moving out of our first apartment together. One of those bittersweet moments that you just don't see coming until it's almost over. Too busy packing, planning for summer, and studying for finals to stop and enjoy our last few days. Honestly, we've kind of been waiting for this day to come. The day that we wave goodbye to Provo once and for all (except for visiting friends of course). Don't get me wrong, we've definetly had some fun in good ol' P town but we're ready to move on. Not super far unfortunatly, but in my eyes Salt Lake is a huge step up.
The morning we moved out was also the morning of Derek's graduation, so it was a little chaotic. After the graduation we had to come back to pick up the rest of our stuff and drop off the key. It wasn't until then, at the last moment that the nostalgia started to kick in. Of course, Derek was way worse than me. That big baby gets sad everytime we leave an apartment regardless of whether or not we enjoyed living there. But this time it just seemed so much more significant. So much more final.

Provo will not be missed but the good times will be.... Cade, I'm sure derek will someday miss your snoring and inability to turn off the alarm in the morning. Thats what best friends are for right. I know I will miss your guy's ridiculous arguments, which of course you two can still accomplish, just not as often. Oh and I can't forget to mention the sweet sound of your piano traveling through the floor. Matty, tennis was fun but nothing beats making fun of you and your diabetic pager. Tasha, we will miss your version of Barry's Bootcamp and the smell of turkey bacon. Eddie, thanks for Boo, Hot Rod, and the most entertaining outfits! (Dain, your included in that last one) Sean, you always cured our bordem with your never ending knowledge of awesome youtube videos and your incessant need for late night 7-Eleven runs. Jemma, definetly the most amazing mexican dinners. Dom, your rendition of Celine Dion's "It's all coming back to me now" still replays in my head. Dane, thanks for the horrifyingly awesome ride in your super fast car. Joey, Derek would'nt have made it without you. Jed, you should create a blog for all of your crazy conspiracy theories. Joe, we'll let you call yourself the ping pong champion for now but the real championship game is to come.Wade (if anyone remembers him), will you, for the love of god, put a freaking shirt on!

Below is our documented sadness
