Girl Scouts 100th Anniversary Gala

Derek and I got to enjoy one of the incredible perks of working at the Hilton, last weekend. The catering staff and our significant others were invited to the 100th Anniversary Gala of the Girl Scouts of Utah event. It's one of the largest and most prestigest events held at the Hilton. Not to mention, we got VIP passes. That's right!

We got all dressed up and fancy. My handsome, little black tie husband ;)

Some of my new, adorable co-workers. Colleen, Kelli, Amy, and Nicolle
Leann Touhy was the guest speaker. She is the original gal from the Blindside film. She was pretty entertaining. Just like Sandra played her.

I wish I would of taken a picture of the food, because it was amazing. One of the best steaks I've ever had. Yummy rolls, delicious salad, and jumbo shrimp. The dessert was a chocolate Panna Cotta but instead of the ususal brownies they used the thin mint Girl Scout cookies. So cute! We also had complimentary wine all night.

Our VIP passes got us into the after party, where Leann Touhy gave out signed copies of her book and took a photo with everyone. They had an open bar and lots more yummy food. I was so stuffed, but of course I kept eating. Then, we pretty much just danced the night away. I love my coworkers... they are seriously a blast!

This was our first black tie event, besides like Prom, and we had such a great time. I can't wait for the next one!

  4. Good to see this gala anniversary celebration. I really had a great time when attended a gala event at one of New York venues. It was seriously amazing and enjoyable too. Went there with my best buddies and all had great fun there.
