The North Rim

Derek and I just got back from our yearly Cali trip to see my family. We took about two weeks off all together. Yes, we have tons of pictures! We have so many, in fact, that I am going to split them up into 3 different posts. Here is the first:

As you've probably noticed, Derek and I have sort of created a new tradition which requires us to plan a mini side trip to somewhere in between Utah and California every time we drive down. We hit Moab last Thanksgiving, Canyon lands one of the times, and of course Vegas is always a fantastic back up plan. 

So this time we chose the Grand Canyon! Granted, it was a bit further out of the way than most, but Derek had never seen the Grand Canyon before, and I had never been to the North Rim. Totally worth it!

Don't even worry, there are plenty more sleeping Tundra's to come. I think that's pretty much all he did the whole drive.

The moon. At 5am

Believe it or not, we actually chose to wake up at 5 am to watch the sunrise over the Grand Canyon. Once in a life time kind of thing, right? Also a summer bucket list kind of thing ;)

The socks and slippers, I know. Don't judge. I wasn't fully prepared for cold weather.

Happy Second!

Yes, we are super cheesy. Mostly me, because I, of course, completely forced Derek into this. 

Last year I decided that it would be cute to have a fun anniversary picture for each year. Of course I thought of it way past our anniversary date, and so we have a couple randoms for last year that we took around Thanksgiving time. I will post those shortly. 

This time we planned a little more accordingly, but are still fashionably late. 

Still fun though!

These last two are for Katie Wentz. She thought it would be hilarious for us to pretend Tundra is our baby, and make a cheesy little baby shot. Although he basically is our baby, and we pretty much did a couple cheesy family shots already ;)

Twilight Series: Band of Horses

We finally made it to the Twilight Concert Series. Unfortunately this is the first of the series that we have made it to so far. Hopefully more to come. Last night was a good one though, Band of Horses was pretty great!

Cole and Heather picked us up and we parked in Cole's new apartment complex that he has yet to move into. Long story. Luckily we didn't get towed. We met up with Cole's sister, Jenny. It's funny because we actually had like several other people to meet up with but none of them happened. We tried to find our neighbor Ryan forever with no luck, Jenny had a friend she tried to find, never saw him, Heather was supposed to meet up with her sister, didn't happen, and our friend Ali never found us either. Too many people at these things!
