Just a little Hocus Pocus

Until this year... I was never able to make it to Witches Night Out
I always wanted to go
but every year, Thanksgiving Point would do
The Ya Ya Sisterhood party on the same night.
Granted the Ya Ya Sisterhood was fun too
but all my friends would be going to Witches Night Out
and I hated missing out.

Well....
 I no longer work there!
So Kris and I got all dressed up
and met a bunch of girls at Gardner Village

We got some amazing hot chocolate and walked around the fun shops

These Victorian, vampire witches were super scary...

We are all our own special kind of witch!

Just as we were about to call it a night...
We heard crowds of women
screaming in joy!!

What could it be....?

Nothing better than an...
NSYNC cover band!!
We dance, we sang, and we could now leave
feeling that our night was complete!

Not without a few last pictures
before we de-witch-ify ourselves..

After de-witch-ifying...
Kris and I met up with Der and the others at
non other than the usual... Bar X
where we met many characters to make our night even more eventful.

Sleepy eyes... It's hard being a witch
Not sure what he's doing here.. but it makes me laugh.... it also reminds of something.. but I just can't put my finger on it.

Being that I was never the die hard NSYNC fan....
this last "character" completely made me night!

RUFIO... RUFIO.... RUFIO.....

Toy Bombs and the twins

Drove to Provo for
another brilliant show!
Toy Bombs you never let us down.

Team Kris and Kris accidentally dressed like twins.
Same name, same shirt
get over it.

After the show
we headed over to the one and only
City Limits!
Our favorite

Derek danced for us... :)
Kris and I decided to clean out their supply of jello shots.
They were tasty

We laughed at this Oompa Loompa forever... not sure why...

On the way home...
we obviously couldn't pass by Derek's old stomping grounds...
I am not going to lie to you,
I was actually worried that Der may die from over consumption...
I mean Derek can always put it back,
but he really out did himself this time.
I think Kris was frightened... or maybe a little mortified.. ha!

Kris & Kris Lunch date Anniversary with Xtra cheese please!

Exactly one year ago,
Team Kris and Kris went on their first "working girls" lunch date!
So we decided to celebrate our Friendaversary (there's your extra cheese)
by getting sushi.

We originally got sushi at  Ahh Sushi
but we decided to mix things up and try something new
It is so gorgeous inside,
and they have amazing rolls.

Since that year ago,
when we first set out to conquer
the best of the best of Salt Lake City lunch spots,
we have hit nearly everything (worth anything) within walking distance to either of our places of work.
Which is a lot.
We are right in the center of the city.
We are proud....
but we still have some work to do.

PS - I would just like to add that I am so proud of us in how much we have grown as lovers of sushi. When we first met, both of us were like... "umm, basically the Vegas roll.. always! love it"... well yes, the Vegas is fantastic.. but now we have so many others that we love.. and we don't always stick to tempura. We have branched out! Yay us!

Flash back to Ahh Sushi:

THRILLER

We made it to Thriller at Kingsbury Hall again this year
Entertaining as ever!

They had zombie girls walking... or rather crawling, around before the show.
It was so creepy

I think the blurred effect of the camera
made them even creepier!

Of course,
we went with Thriller's biggest fan,
Shara and the man she dragged with her... Ricky. :)

And now for the main event!

Funny little side note.... I got my Halloween costume idea for this year, from this show.
There was a really funny skit of FRANKENSTEIN that I loved.
You will see the result a little later....

SLC Undie Run

For a couple years now
I have seen the SLC Undie Run going on
and always wondered what it was about.
So this year,
I looked it up and decided to join in the fun!
Basically it is about raising awareness for Utah laws that you would like to see change.
You can donate clothing and write on yourself and your friends
the organizations you support
before heading out on the road in your skivvies

With a couple girls at my side,
and a little liquid courage,
we headed over to the TRAX station
and rode down to Library Square

Nanda and I found this picture on the KSL website! We're famous! :)

We left library square
and headed up the street to the Capital Building

All in all, it was a really fun experience.
We met some really fun people who stand for really important things...

K, maybe not this girl.... ha!

And then we grabbed some food
and went dancing for a bit at the Green Pig

Oktoberfest...

... has become one of our many, yearly traditions that I hold very dearly

Snowbird is such a fun place to walk around
even when there is nothing going on,
but during Oktoberfest it is so much better!

This year I went with Amy and some of her friends.
Super fun group!
I brought Derek's giant Stein from a couple years ago.
It was actually quite painful to lug that thing around all day
but I had to bring it.... What else do we have it for!?
Luckily, Amy is so nice
and she switched off with me on holding the Stein,
so my hand wouldn't fall off.

We had delicious Brats with mustard and Sauerkraut,
Chocolate Dipped Belgian Waffle on a stick
and Pumpkin Ale
It turned out to be such a beautiful day
which was much needed,
considering the other two times I had tried to go this year,
it was raining and terrible outside.

Until next year Oktoberfest....
